Suvarna Jubilee Scholarship
Suvarna Jubilee Scholarship is initiated by the Kerala Government Directorate of Collegiate Education. This scholarship is for aspiring students of lower-middle income groups who have the desire to pursue higher education. The scholarship is awarded to 20 college students and four students from the state’s higher education institutes. The scholarship is worth Rs. 50,000 each and is awarded to deserving students for their high-quality performance in school and college.
The Suvarna Jubilee Scholarship 2023 is open to all students who have secured minimum 50% marks in their 12th class. The main criteria for acquiring this scholarship are that the applicant must be a resident of Kerala and must belong to a low-income, BPL family. The scholarship will be awarded annually to the winning students. The application process is easy, and students can check eligibility requirements and apply for it online.
This scholarship scheme aims to encourage meritorious students to pursue higher studies and improve their employability. What is the Eligibility Criteria?
Students studying higher education must be enrolled in a government or aided arts and sciences institution. In addition to this, the family’s income should not exceed Rs. 4.50 lakhs per year. Applicants must stay in recognized hostels to be eligible for this scholarship. Blind or physically handicapped students can also apply for the scholarship. In addition to these, the applicant must be a girl studying in a government/aided college or higher secondary school.
